Firefighters have battled a blaze that engulfed a home in Lalla, north-east Tasmania, on Saturday afternoon.
Crews from Rocherlea and Lilydale were called to the Quills Road address just before 3pm.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the home completely engulfed in flames.
By 4:30pm, the fire had been brought under control but firefighters remained on site.
The Tasmania Fire Service said there was a ‘heavy amount of fuel’ in the building, making it difficult to extinguish the blaze.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the occupants of the home were able to escape safely.
It’s the second time in recent days that emergency services have been called to the Lalla area, after a young driver lost their life in a collision with a tree earlier this week.
