A Launceston service station has been targeted for the fourth time in just eight months, with the latest incident involving two masked individuals attempting to break into the business overnight.
Shell Service Station Manager Raj Redy said the pair tried to force open the doors of the West Launceston business just before 4am on Friday.
Security cameras captured the effort by the two robbers, who repeatedly slammed the doors until one managed to slip through.
The thieves took over $400 in cash from the till.
They also tried to steal cigarettes, but fled empty-handed when the security alarm sounded.
Ready said ‘these sorts of incidents’ are happening all over Launceston and is warning those who attempt such crimes that they will be found.
Police are calling for anyone with information on crime related incidents to come forward.
