Legendary Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes is in Hobart ahead of his upcoming Cold Chisel concert.
The band’s “The Big Five-O” tour will see them perform to a sold-out crowd at MyState Bank Arena on Wednesday night.
Barnes and his wife Jane have been enjoying a quick break in the city, exploring the waterfront and indulging in local delicacies at the Old Wharf Hotel.
The 68-year-old singer recently battled health issues following emergency hip surgery and a bacterial infection that required open heart surgery in December.
“When in Hobart you’ve got to have a Tassie lobster right?” Barnes shared on social media.
He also posted about “resting up” ahead of Wednesday night, adding that it’s always great to be “breathing the crisp fresh air in Hobart”.
Even Tasmania Police got in on the Barnsey action, with a pair of officers posting about a “true Working Class Man encounter” with the singer during their patrol.
“Just goes to show, you never know who you’ll meet out on the beat,” they said.
