A dozen Tasmanian personalities, professionals, directors and educators will fill the Odeon Theatre for TEDxHobart next week.
The highly sought after May 11 event is centred around the ‘Ripple Effect’, with organisers aiming to delve into the power of small actions creating widespread change.
“The ripple effect can be seen in fields like finance, technology, law, agriculture, history, community development, conservation, the arts and tourism,” Director Theo Kapodistrias said.
“TEDxHobart is a dynamic platform that shines a spotlight on Tasmania’s innovation, inspiration and big ideas.”
The speaker line-up boasts a variety of impressive Tasmanians, including inspiring mountaineer Paul Pritchard, innovative fashion designer Lalita Lowe and dedicated emergency physician Viet Tran.
Joining them will be radio personality Ryk Goddard, drone pilot Andrew Davie and teacher and tech entrepreneur Paul Matthews.
“If you’re excited about the power of ideas, if you’re intrigued by the potential of small actions creating big waves, then TEDxHobart is the place to be,” Kapodistrias said.
“Join us in exploring the incredible stories of how tiny ripples created right here in Tasmania are shaping our world in astonishing ways.”
General admission tickets for the event start at $152.93.
