Three young people have been identified by police as the alleged offenders in a “tyre slashing” incident in Sheffield.
The youths are accused of damaging vehicles in the town’s main street in the early hours of May 24.
Police launched an investigation into the matter, and with the help of the Sheffield community, the trio were tracked down.
Sergeant Jeremy Williams said the young people have been interviewed and will be proceeded against through the provisions of the youth justice system.
Authorities are hoping to hold more youth offenders to account to “ensure they are educated on the consequences of their actions”
“Police would also like to remind community members to report issues like this directly to police, rather than community notice boards on social media.”
“This will ensure a timely response and will help us to effectively curb the offending.”
