After a successful stint in Launceston as the Tasmanian Makers and Creators Expo, organisers are bringing the event south for the first time as the Tassie Makers Festival.
The inaugural event will take over PW1 this weekend, featuring handmade crafts, live music, carnival rides and local food and drink offerings with Tasmanian produce and flavours.
“The Tassie Makers Festival began as a community-driven initiative to highlight the talents of Tasmanian artisans and creators,” co-organiser Ezra Davidson said.
“After a year of innovative growth, the team is excited to bring their celebration of Tasmanian craftsmanship to a wider audience.”
The festival will be open from 8am to 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with the Tassie Makers Food Festival taking place on Saturday from 4pm to 10pm.
