Two men face multiple charges after supermarket ram raids in Hobart

Two young men have been arrested over several alleged ram raids at small supermarkets across the greater Hobart area in recent weeks.

Detectives searched a property at Risdon Vale on Thursday as part of their investigations into break-ins at supermarkets in Risdon Vale and Lindisfarne, where vehicles were driven into the stores.

A 23-year-old and a 21-year-old man were arrested at the address and a stolen motorcycle was seized.

The pair are facing a string of charges, including seven counts of motor vehicle stealing, four counts of burglary, four counts of stealing and five counts of attempted burglary.

The 21-year-old is also facing additional charges for disqualified driving, evade police (aggravated circumstances), dangerous driving and reckless driving.

Police are continuing their search for a third man believed to be involved in the Lindisfarne incident.
