Authorities have seized ten firearms from a home in southern Tasmania as investigations into the largest drug bust in the state’s history continue.

In December of last year, 3 kilograms of methylamphetamine and 4 kilograms of cocaine were allegedly found following the interception of a vehicle and vessel at Rocky Cape in the state’s north west.

Two men, 34-year-old Craig Aaron Castle from Elderslie and 40-year-old Joshua Charles Hay from Swansea were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance at the time.

Now, nearly three-months later, police have carried out a raid on a residence in Blackmans Bay.

A third man, 38, was arrested on charges of drug trafficking on Thursday morning.

He has since been granted bail and will appear in court in May.
