Exclusion zone in place after vehicle towing gas bottles crashes near Railton

A 100-metre exclusion zone has been established after a vehicle towing gas bottles crashed in Tasmania’s north.

The single vehicle crash occurred around 3:20pm on Tuesday near the intersection of Bridle Track Road and Lower Beulah Road at Kimberley, near Railton.

Police said the vehicle was towing a trailer carrying gas bottles when it crashed.

“People are asked to avoid the area until the scene is cleared,” a spokesperson said.

“At this stage, no serious injuries have been reported.”
