Twelve Tasmanian syndicate members are celebrating a life-changing windfall while lottery officials are urgently searching for a mystery multi-millionaire following a remarkable double TattsLotto win in Launceston.
Two division one winning entries worth $2.2 million each were purchased from Mowbray newsXpress and Lotto for Saturday’s draw, but one winner remains completely unaware of their newfound fortune.
The 12-member syndicate, aptly named ‘Full Week Fortune’, will each receive $186,040 after their System 8 entry secured additional lower division prizes, boosting their total win to more than $2.23 million.
Sourav Kumar, owner of Mowbray newsXpress and Lotto, said he was thrilled with the double success.

“We’re very excited! I just came back from Mowbray newsXpress and Lotto after decorating the store with balloons and posters,” Kumar said.
“It was only two weeks ago that we sold a division one winning entry at Centre Newsagency & Lotto, and two months ago at Kings Meadows News & Lotto.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell urged all local players to check their tickets immediately.
“Our mystery ticketholder is likely oblivious to the fact they’re walking around with $2.2 million in their back pocket,” she said.
“Winning tickets can often be found anywhere from wallets, handbags and fridge doors to car glove boxes. Be sure to check everywhere because you might be holding the golden ticket.”
Several syndicate members who purchased unregistered shares may also be unaware of their windfall.
The winning tickets were among nine division one entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4583 on June 21, with the winning numbers 6, 24, 10, 42, 1 and 30, plus supplementary numbers 18 and 16.
The double win contributes to Tasmania’s impressive lottery performance in 2025, with the state now celebrating 10 major wins totalling more than $6.78 million.
