Nearly 150 bus routes were cancelled in Hobart on Monday, leaving people stranded on the side of the road.
118 services are already set to be scrapped today.
Franklin MP David O’Byrne said with schools going back and people trying to get to work, the inconvenience will be huge.
“At the beginning of the year when schools went back, we had hundreds of Metro cancellations per day for several months,” Mr O’Byrne said.

“Transport Minister Michael Ferguson assured Tasmanians that these mass cancellations were a once-off, but clearly that wasn’t true.”
“It’s completely unacceptable that our public transport network falls over each and every time schools return from their break.”
He said students and families are completely fed up and are rapidly losing faith in Metro.
Metro say there is currently a national shortage of 25,000 workers in the transport industry and are ensuring they prioritise school bus services.
