A 15-year-old girl has been charged with assaulting and threatening police officers during a retail crime blitz that netted 16 offenders across Hobart this week.
The teenager also faces charges of stealing and four counts of trespass, while a 14-year-old boy has been accused of attempted burglary, property damage and giving police a false name.
The two-day operation targeted Sandy Bay, Hobart, North Hobart and New Town and caught offenders ranging from the teenage girl to a 64-year-old woman who was summonsed for stealing.
A 33-year-old woman was charged with assault, property damage and breaching bail, while a 21-year-old man allegedly carried a dangerous weapon in public and also gave police a false name.
Among the younger offenders, a 16-year-old boy faces burglary and stealing charges, while an 18-year-old man has been accused of trespassing on residential property and committing two counts of theft.

Police recovered stolen meat, groceries, alcohol, clothing and household items during the Wednesday and Thursday operation.
Tasmania Police Inspector John Toohey said a number of those arrested were repeat offenders.
“The operation showed the benefit of retailers, the community and law enforcement working together toward the shared goal of creating a safe environment,” he said.
Police said several other alleged offenders will be dealt with by summons or youth cautions.
