Launceston’s Festivale is set to sizzle this weekend, with temperatures in the high 20s and low 30s forecast for the duration of the event.

Organisers of the annual City Park tradition are encouraging people to bring empty water bottles to the event, with free water refill stations available.

“We’ll have a whole range of chilled non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks available for sale throughout the event, as well as some incredible food offerings from the stallholders,” Festivale Chairman David Dunn said.

“We’re very excited to have Festivale back in the park in 2025 and we believe that we’re presenting one of the premium Tasmanian food, beverage and entertainment events that the state has to offer.”

Temperatures are forecasted to be in the high 20s and low 30s

Tickets for the event sold out in record time, with Friday and Saturday tickets gone by early December and Sunday tickets following suit in early January.

“We’ve never sold out that quickly before,” Dunn said.

“It’s normally the two weeks leading into the event.”

Around 30,000 tickets have been sold, while around 1,000 event and stallholder staff will also be on-site.

Dunn said around 67% of tickets are typically sold to interstate visitors, but this year’s numbers could be different with the event falling just before the end of school holidays in some states.

He warned people to be vigilant and only buy tickets from the official reseller, Ticksell, or directly from friends.

Festivale will feature over 70 food and beverage stallholders, a mix of local and interstate entertainment and a variety of masterclasses.
