Hobart has smashed the warmest day of the year in Tasmania so far, with temperatures soaring to 35.6 degrees on Monday.
Hobart Airport broke the previous top temperature of 33.5 degrees, set in Fingal on January 4.
Other areas in the south also experienced warm weather, with Campania reaching 35.5 degrees and Dunalley 35.1 degrees.
The hot weather spread across much of the state, with the Derwent and Huon valleys exceeding 34 degrees.
Strahan on the West Coast recorded 32 degrees, while Friendly Beaches on the east coast reached 31.6 degrees.
Launceston saw a top temperature of 28.7 degrees and Devonport recorded 23.1 degrees.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, temperatures in both Hobart and Launceston are forecast to exceed 30 degrees on Sunday.
