A 23-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly uncovered multiple firearms, including a 3D-printed pistol, during a search in northern Tasmania.
Tasmania Police executed a targeted search warrant at a Mowbray property yesterday, seizing four firearms, a silencer and a quantity of illicit substances.
Among the weapons seized were a 3D-printed pistol, a shortened rifle, an unregistered rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun.
The Mowbray man attended Launceston Police Station this morning, where he was charged with several firearms offences including possessing a prohibited firearm, possessing a shortened firearm and possessing a silencer.
He was also charged with recklessly discharging a firearm over an incident on February 1 and faces a wounding charge linked to an alleged incident on January 19.

The search was carried out by members of the Northern Drug and Firearms Unit, as part of ongoing efforts to remove illegal weapons from the community.
Police did not disclose the type of illicit substances allegedly found during the raid.
The man is expected to appear in Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
