Aggravated armed robbery: Police allege 12-year-old girl played a role in Hobart crime spree

An alleged crime spree across Hobart on Friday has resulted in serious charges, including aggravated armed robbery, for two teenagers and a 12-year-old girl.

The trio allegedly went on a rampage involving a deliberately lit property fire in Otago, damage to car windows, the theft of an e-scooter and the attempted theft of a mobile phone.

An 18-year-old Otago man and a 15-year-old boy are facing numerous charges, including arson, aggravated armed robbery, attempted aggravated armed robbery, aggravated burglary and property damage.

The young girl is also facing charges of aggravated armed robbery and attempted aggravated armed robbery, among other offences.

The 18-year-old was taken into custody and held to appear in court.

The other two youths were granted bail and will appear at a later date.

Police say investigations are ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact Bellerive CIB or Crime Stoppers Tasmania anonymously.
