Andrew Wardlaw has been appointed as the acting general manager of the Circular Head Council.
Wardlaw, who was recently appointed as commissioner of Dorset Council while an investigation into it was undertaken, will serve in the role until a permanent appointment is made.
Mayor Gerard Blizzard said Wardlaw brings extensive leadership experience, having served as general manager of Burnie City Council from 2012 to 2020.
He has also held general manager roles at both the King Island and West Coast councils.
“Andrew’s vast experience and proven leadership make him the ideal choice to guide council through this interim phase,” he said.
Wardlaw will step into the role in March, following the departure of current general manager Vanessa Adams, who was appointed in 2022.
“My focus will be on maintaining stability, supporting the team and ensuring that Circular Head continues to deliver strong outcomes for the community,” Wardlaw said.
