A number of concertgoers faced ejection from last night’s Foo Fighters performance in Launceston, despite the vast majority of fans enjoying the show without incident.
Tasmania Police confirmed 10 people were removed from UTAS Stadium during the highly anticipated concert, which attracted a crowd of around 25,000 fans.
Among those ejected was a young man who attempted to sneak into the venue wearing a high-vis vest in an apparent effort to impersonate staff.
Several other individuals were seen attempting similar staff impersonations throughout the night.

Two arrests were made for assault, with one incident involving what witnesses described as a “brutal punch-on” between a male concertgoer and a security guard.
Despite these disruptions, police expressed satisfaction with the overall behaviour of attendees.

“Tasmania Police would like to thank concert goers for their behaviour at the Foo Fighters event in Launceston last night,” a police spokesperson said.
“The majority of attendees enjoyed a great night out, respecting those around them during the concert and being patient entering and leaving the event.”
A significant police presence was maintained throughout the night, with officers seen responding quickly to incidents within the crowd.
Police conducted wand searches as part of security measures, though no weapons were detected.

In total, police responded to five small disturbances alongside the two arrests and 10 ejections.
