Tasmanians can expect a mix of wet and warm weather over the Australia Day long weekend, with temperatures set to soar into the 30s in some areas on Monday.
Hobart will kick off the weekend with a top of 23 degrees under cloudy skies on Saturday, while Launceston is set to reach 25 degrees.
The West Coast will stay on the cooler side with highs of 20 degrees and occasional showers, while the north-west coast will hover around 23 degrees.
On the east coast, St Helens and Orford will enjoy mild conditions of 24-25 degrees.
Sunday will be slightly cooler across the state, with Hobart peaking at 21 degrees and Launceston hitting 25 degrees under overcast skies.
Strahan will warm up to 23 degrees, while Devonport and Burnie are looking at highs of 20-21 degrees, with the chance of a light shower.
By Monday, temperatures will soar, with Hobart and Huonville expected to hit 32 degrees.
Richmond could climb to 33 degrees, potentially beating the year’s warmest day so far, which was recorded in Fingal at 33.5 degrees on January 4.
Launceston is set for a warm 29 degrees, while Devonport and Burnie should reach 25 degrees.
The east coast will also heat up, with St Helens and Orford forecast to hit 29-30 degrees, although showers may develop later in the day.
