Locals say the town, now dubbed ‘the new Byron Bay’, is facing a ‘severe shortage of workers’ due to a lack of available rental properties and an influx of tourists.

The Bicheno IGA Supermarket has also reduced its trading hours, and many other businesses along the East Coast say they are struggling to find enough workers.
