One of Tasmania’s most-loved TV personalities has announced he will be departing from Tassie’s airwaves, after a lengthy career in the state.
Tom Johnson, who anchors the 7 Tasmania sports segment and regularly fills in on the desk, is heading home to Adelaide.

Hundreds of Tasmanian viewers have already taken to social media to share their sadness at Tom’s departure.
In a Facebook comment, Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff gave Tom his best wishes, calling the reporter a “great chap all round”.
