A man remains in hospital with serious head injuries after being brutally assaulted by a group of teenagers at a Glenorchy shopping centre yesterday.
The 33-year-old was allegedly set upon by four boys, two aged just 14 and two aged 15, at Northgate on Tuesday afternoon.
All four have since been charged with criminal code assault and released on bail back into the community.
The victim was rushed to the Royal Hobart Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition while receiving treatment for significant head trauma.
Pulse understands the man has a bleed on his brain.

The incident has sparked outrage from Police Minister Felix Ellis, who slammed the violence first reported by Pulse as “disgraceful”.
“There is absolutely no room for this type of behaviour in our communities,” he told Pulse.
Local MLC Bec Thomas also voiced her anger, saying residents were fed up with young offenders repeatedly getting away with crime.
She again called on the government to take urgent action. Ellis said work to tackle the issue was underway.
“I thank Ms Thomas for her ongoing advocacy in this space and look forward to working across the parliament to address growing concerns around youth crime and its causes,” he said.
The state government has previously said all options remain on the table to combat youth crime, including the tough ‘adult crime, adult time’ laws rolled out in Queensland.
