A train has broken down across a rail crossing in Hobart’s northern suburbs this evening.
The TasRail locomotive is currently blocking the Briggs Road crossing near Tea Tree Road.

Tasmania Police say all traffic is currently being diverted away from the stalled train and ask motorists to avoid Briggs Road for the next several hours.
Technicians are currently working to repair the train.
