TasTAFE’s Campbell Street campus has been forced to close until further notice after a burst water main caused extensive damage over the weekend.
A spokesperson said clean-up efforts are underway to address the “significant flooding”, which has impacted the ground and basement floors of the building.

The upper floors of the campus were unaffected.
While teaching has concluded for the year, staff usually based at the Campbell Street campus will be temporarily relocated to either the Drysdale Hobart Campus in Collins Street or TasTAFE’s Clarence Campus in Warrane.
A more detailed assessment of the damage will determine when staff can return to the site.
