Firefighters have been called to a bushfire in Launceston’s Cataract Gorge this afternoon.
The blaze was reported just after 3pm on Wednesday at the Alexandra Suspension Bridge.

Images from the scene show smoke rising from beneath trees on the northern side of the First Basin.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
