Updated 5:50pm, Sunday: The fire has now been upgraded to a watch and act warning, with the TFS expecting it to put Rose Hill at “high risk” in the next 2-4 hours.
They say the fire is travelling towards Lower Marshes.
“Embers, smoke, and ash may fall on Rose Hill, Lower Marshes and threaten you and your home before the main fire arrives,” the TFS said.
Earlier: Firefighters are rushing to the Jericho area of the Southern Midlands after a bushfire broke out this afternoon.

The fire near Rose Hill at Lower Marshes has put the area under an advice warning, as the blaze burns near key agricultural land and some homes.
People at Lower Marshes and the surrounding areas have been told to stay vigilant.
“Monitor conditions and if they get more dangerous and you are not well prepared, plan to go to a safer place,” a Tasmania Fire Service spokesperson said.
“Well prepared homes are expected to be defendable in these conditions.”
