Residents in Sawpit Gully and Acton Hill near Clarendon Vale are being advised to stay vigilant as the Tasmania Fire Service has issued a Bushfire Advice warning for the area.
The fire is currently moving towards Acton Hill, Clarendon Vale, with authorities warning that conditions are expected to remain changeable throughout the evening.
While there is no immediate threat to properties or lives, the TFS is urging locals to check their bushfire plans and remain informed about the situation.
“Well prepared homes are expected to be defendable in these conditions,” a TFS spokesperson said.

“Monitor conditions, and if they get more dangerous, and you are not well prepared, plan to go to a safer place.”
The bushfire comes amid a high fire danger risk across parts of Tasmania today.
