Bushwalkers urged to stay home with severe weather on the way in Tasmania

Tasmania Police are urging anyone thinking of bush walking in western or central plateau areas of the state tomorrow to reconsider their plans.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a bush walkers weather alert, with snow as low as 600 metres expected during Wednesday in parts of the western and central plateau areas.

Police say if you do go bush walking, make sure you’re properly prepared with equipment, and are experienced for the snow, winds and unusually cold conditions predicted.
