Car clipped by train at level crossing in Ulverstone

Traffic has been diverted from a main thoroughfare in Ulverstone after an incident involving a train and a car at a level crossing.

Police are redirecting vehicles away from Reibey Street following reports that a car was clipped by a train at the crossing.

Authorities confirmed no injuries have been reported in the incident, which has left the train stationary across the road.

“The train is currently stopped and blocking the road,” a police spokesperson said.

TasRail are yet to comment on the incident.
