A car which crashed into a power pole on Cressy Road this morning has left around 320 homes and businesses in the area without power.
TasNetworks have worked through the day to replace the damaged pole, which caused power to be cut to most of the Cressy township, along with some properties in Longford.

The repairs took several hours, with power being restored mid-afternoon.
TasNetworks have used the incident as an opportunity to remind people about safety around power infrastructure.

“Please stay at least 10 metres clear of any fallen power-lines or other damage,” a TasNetworks spokesperson said.
