Launceston cafe Aroma was broken into in the early hours of Thursday morning, with thieves smashing their way inside and reportedly stealing cash.
Staff arrived at the Charles Street cafe to find the front door shattered, with glass scattered across the entrance and throughout the premises.
According to the cafe, the break-in occurred around 1:20am.
It is understood the offenders used hammers to smash the glass before jumping the counter and taking money from the tills.

The incident was captured on CCTV and the footage has been handed over to Tasmania Police, who are investigating.
The break-in follows a series of similar incidents across the city over the weekend, for which police have charged three teenage boys.

Police allege that during five separate break-ins, the trio caused more than $15,000 in damage and stole over $30,000 worth of property.
One of the boys charged is just 14, while the other two are both 17-years-old.
