A century-old hall in Tasmania’s Southern Midlands has been reduced to ash after a deliberately lit fire early this morning.
The historic Baden Hall, located south of Oatlands, was constructed in the 1900s and was currently privately owned.
When the fire crews arrived at the scene around 6am this morning, the hall had been completely destroyed, leaving only remnants of roofing iron scattered on the ground and a chimney standing.
Police and fire investigators arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and have since determined that the fire was deliberate.
