A young child has been injured after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Launceston car park this afternoon.
Authorities raced to the the scene at the Coles and Kmart complex off Racecourse Crescent just after 2pm.
Police believe child ran in between two parked cars and onto the roadway in the car park before they were hit.
Paramedics treated the child, whose injuries were deemed to be minor.

An investigation into the incident is underway, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
