“A high over the ocean to the west extends a ridge over Tasmania late Saturday,” the BOM said.

“The ridge contracts north as the high moves toward western Victoria on Sunday, maintaining a west to southwesterly flow over Tasmania into Monday.”

Snow is expected to fall to around 700 metres tonight, before lowering to 200 metres in the south on Saturday morning, with possible small hail and showers.
