Comedian David Walliams takes flight to explore Tasmania’s far south-west

British comedian David Walliams has explored the remote wilderness of Tasmania’s far south-west during his visit to the state.

Walliams took a trip to Melaleuca with Par Avion on Wednesday, seen having picnic on a rugged remote beach.

“Thank you Par Avion Tas for the most incredible day with the most handsome pilot Theo Idstrom,” he said,

“It’s been the most extraordinary day, the most beautiful countryside, the most incredible guide and I can’t wait to come back.”

The comedian, who performed a show at Hobart’s Wrest Point on Tuesday night, has visited several Tasmanian destinations during his time in the state, including MONA and kunanyi/Mt Wellington.

In a video posted to social media, he shared a singalong with young Hobart performers at the Theatre Royal for the upcoming local Annie musical.

Walliams is known for his work on the popular British comedy series Little Britain and Come Fly with Me.
