Local trades, suppliers and partners donated their time, materials and expertise to build the home from scratch, organised by SJM Property Developments.

“It’s been great to see everyone get behind something that gives back to the community in a meaningful way,” owner of SJM Property Developments, Sam Morse said.

The idea for the charity house came from wanting to support children’s charities in an authentic way

All funds raised will be split between Variety, Starlight and The Smith Family.

“These charities were chosen because of the impact they have locally and the support they provide to individuals and families in our community,” they said.

The idea came from wanting to support children’s charities in an authentic way.

“The owner was really passionate about supporting charities that focus on helping children in need but wanted to do it in a way that felt genuine to what we do as a business,” Morse said.

“Building a charity home was the perfect fit.”

“It allowed us to bring the community together, support important causes, and at the same time provide someone with a brand new house to call home.”
