A slide has been stolen from a New Norfolk playground, leaving the local council “extremely saddened and disappointed”.
The slide at Tynwald Park was installed four years ago along with the new playground.

“This playground is a beloved spot for families and kids and it’s heartbreaking to see such a vital part of it taken,” the Derwent Valley Council said on social media.
“If you have any information or saw anything suspicious, please reach out to the council office,” they said.
The council is now on the hunt for a replacement slide, which they hope to have installed “as soon as possible”.
