A futuristic three-storey mansion with five bathrooms, a sunken jacuzzi, and a “parent’s retreat” has been approved for construction at 44 Nicholas Drive in the hills of Sandy Bay.
The luxurious 887sqm home will be one of the biggest ever built in the area.
The ground floor master bedroom comes complete with a kitchenette, seating area, walk-in wardrobe, and an ensuite. It will also open up to an undercover entertaining area and a deck.
The bedroom on the first floor will be a “parent’s retreat” and will have a bar.

The mansion’s upper floor will have a study with a bathroom, storage, and waiting area.
A wing on the ground floor will feature a combined kitchen, living, and dining space, a separate playroom, a walled courtyard and a laundry room.

The lower floor will boast an impressive entertaining area, seamlessly connected to an open deck with a sunken jacuzzi.
The Hobart City planning committee approved the application for the mansion this week, and there were no oppositions to the development application received.
