Multiple crashes have caused delays for motorists attempting to commute around Greater Hobart this morning.
Traffic on the Tasman Highway through Mornington towards Hobart has been slowed after a car crashed into the median barrier around 1:30am.
Police diverted all city-bound traffic through Mornington and closed the road for several hours while State Growth crews carried out emergency maintenance.
The highway has since reopened, but the speed limit has been reduced to 60km/h.
Just before 7am, a crash on the Brooker Highway at Lutana between a car and a truck was reported, closing one lane of the road towards the city.

Another crash was reported nearby 30 minutes later between two vehicles.
Both crashes resulted in no serious injuries reported, police said.
Around 8am, a two vehicle crash was called in to 000 on the East Derwent Highway at Otago Hill.
Police said while highway remains open, however traffic has slowed significantly.
They advised motorists to take an alternative route.
