A 22-year-old man will face court today after police allegedly linked him to a two-week crime spree across Devonport.

The man was arrested early on Tuesday morning when police executed a search warrant at a local residence.

Detectives allegedly discovered a haul of stolen goods during the raid, including items taken just hours before from a nearby home.

He has been hit with 22 charges, including three counts of aggravated burglary, seven counts of burglary and eight counts of stealing.

The man also faces single charges of attempted burglary, uttering counterfeit money, unlawful possession of property and breaching conditions of a notice.

He was remanded in custody to appear before the Devonport Magistrates Court at 11am today.

Tasmania Police urged residents to remain vigilant and ensure their properties were secure.

“Police are reminding members of the public to lock their cars, garages and homes to help prevent these offences from occurring.,” a spokesperson said.
