Inspector Colin Riley said the man was more than six times the legal limit.

“Given the extremely high reading it is incredibly lucky no one was injured in this incident and there were no other people or vehicles involved,” he said.

“We are grateful for the assistance of the community member who reported this matter, which allowed us to respond quickly.”

The man was arrested, charged with drink driving offences and will appear in court.

“Drink driving carries with it severe risks, putting lives in danger,” Riley warned.
