A man is facing a four-month driving ban after being caught travelling at more than 50km/h above the speed limit on one of Hobart’s busiest roads.
Police allegedly detected the 36-year-old man doing 131km/h in an 80km/h zone on the Brooker Highway on Friday.

Authorities immediately clamped the man’s vehicle and issued a licence disqualification following the dangerous driving incident.
“Speeding puts not only your life at risk, but the lives of all other road users,” police said.
“We will continue to target dangerous driving behaviour, because we want everyone to get home safely.”
