Driver cops 3-month suspension after wild joyride on Tasmania’s West Coast

Two drivers on the West Coast have been slapped with hefty fines after being caught speeding on the state’s West Coast this morning.

A traffic operation on Henty Road at Strahan stopped a driver who was allegedly travelling at 139km/h in the 100km/h zone.

The driver will now be out of the drivers seat for three months and will have to pay a fine of $828.75.

Another driver was also caught speeding in the same area, this time at 134km/h.

Police are urging people travelling across the state this long weekend to slow down, take care and drive to the conditions.
