Police are looking into the circumstances that led to a car flipping onto its roof after crashing into two parked vehicles on a Launceston street.

The vehicle rolled on Quarantine Road in Kings Meadows around 3:20pm on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after and found the driver, who was the only person in the car at the time, trapped.

They were stuck “for some time” before being taken to Launceston General Hospital with “serious” but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe inattention may have been a factor in the crash and are asking anyone with information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Quarantine Road and Opossum Road were closed for around four and a half hours as a result of the crash.
