Emergency services responded to an incident at Latrobe today when a vehicle rolled into the Mersey River while unoccupied.
Police attended the scene on River Road in Latrobe at about 1:15pm, where they found the front portion of a vehicle submerged in the water.
Police confirmed the driver was not inside the vehicle when it rolled into the river.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

A tow truck was called to retrieve the vehicle from the embankment.
An eyewitness, who was walking along the riverside when the incident occured, told Pulse he saw emergency services rush past before coming across the vehicle.
“I happen[ed] to see ambulances and police cars go zooming past. I walk[ed] another 10 minutes to witness a car on the embankment with the bonnet submerged,” the witness said.
