A teenager and a man have been charged with firearms offences after shots were allegedly fired at a Hobart home overnight.
Police were called to a house on Bass Street in Warrane on the eastern shore about 12:40am on Monday after reports of gunfire.
No one was injured and property damage was minimal, Tasmania Police said.
“Initial investigations indicate the address was targeted,” police said.
Officers declared a crime scene and arrested three males. A rifle and shotgun were seized.
A 14-year-old boy from Bridgewater was charged with possessing a firearm without a licence and possessing ammunition without a licence.
He was bailed to appear in the Youth Justice Division of the Hobart Magistrates Court on February 17.
A 21-year-old Warrane man was charged with the same offences and detained to face an after-hours session of the Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday evening.
A 26-year-old Bridgewater man was released without charge.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and are searching for the alleged offender or offenders who fired at the property.
Police said they believed those responsible were driving a white flat tray utility.
