Firefighters are working to contain a bushfire that is burning in the Rokeby area tonight.
The blaze on Atkins Street was reported to the Tasmania Fire Service just before 8:30pm on Friday.
This incident is one of several reported during the current total fire ban.
Residents in the area who observe any concerning fire activity are urged to report it to Triple Zero (000).

The fire comes in the wake of confirmation from police that a bushfire currently burning through approximately 4,000 hectares in the state’s central highlands was deliberately lit.
“Deliberately lighting fires is appalling,” Commander Jason Elmer said earlier today.

“This sort of behaviour has the potential to risk the lives and livelihoods of community members, as well as the lives and safety of our first responders.”
The total fire ban put in place across Southern Tasmania due to extreme fire danger conditions earlier this week will come to an end at 2am on Saturday.
