Tasmanians in the state’s north are being warned of possible flooding as heavy rain and strong winds continue.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued upgraded a flood watch for the Mersey River catchment, with moderate rainfall with isolated heavier falls causing river level rises and minor flooding along the river.

“Further rises are possible with the forecast rainfall.”
