An investigation has been launched after a food delivery driver was threatened with a knife and had his vehicle stolen while working in Gagebrook late Thursday night.
The male driver was completing a delivery to a private residence on Briar Crescent around 11:10pm when he was allegedly confronted by three suspects, one armed with a knife.
The offenders threatened the driver before allegedly stealing his car keys, cash and driving away in his gold Suzuki Liana, which also contained his mobile phone.
Tasmania Police confirmed the driver was not physically injured during the frightening incident.

After the carjacking, the victim sought assistance at a nearby residence where he was able to contact police.
Officers from Bridgewater Police conducted extensive patrols throughout the Gagebrook and Brighton areas following the report.

The stolen vehicle was later discovered abandoned in bushland off Boronia Place, Gagebrook.
Authorities are now appealing for public assistance to help identify the three suspects involved.
Police are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have spotted the gold Suzuki Liana being driven in the Gagebrook area late Thursday night or early Friday morning.
