A Brighton property that once operated as a swim school has hit the market, with agents spruiking its development potential across two adjoining blocks.

The Brighton Swim Centre shut abruptly in July after 14 years in operation. It had taught around 500 children each term.

The 1829-square-metre site, spanning 30 Jubilee Avenue and 2 Martyn Place, is being sold through expressions of interest closing September 26.

The listing promotes the indoor pool and two residential homes as offering ‘endless possibilities’ – from restarting swim lessons to private use or a commercial conversion.

The four-bedroom main house is estimated to rent for $570–$630 a week, the listing says, while a three-bedroom property behind it is already tenanted at $520.

The site sits opposite Brighton Primary School and near Brighton High, in what the listing describes as a “thriving” area.

“This property offers a unique combination of lifestyle, investment and development potential,” the listing reads.

“The property is currently approved for both residential and commercial purposes.”
